25 years in local government |

9 years (1999-2007) as the Alderman of the 32nd Ward covering
the neighborhoods of Bucktown, Wicker Park, Lincoln park, DePaul,
Lakeview, Roscoe Village, Hamlin Park, Ukrainian Village and West
Town.

During my tenure, I oversaw unprecedented growth and development,
making these neighborhoods some of the most desirable in the entire
city. This experience gives me unmatched knowledge and insight into
the local real estate market and neighborhood conditions
|
|
As member of the City Council Zoning Committee, I oversaw
every zoning application throughout the entire City of Chicago covering
every neighborhood and building type giving me a truly unique citywide
perspective.

|
A member of the City Council Building Committee, I was responsible
for the creation and oversight of the building code, where I developed
and intimate knowledge of the building industry. I also obtained
a thorough understanding of consumer needs leading me to be one
of the primary sponsers of the landmark, "Adjacent Neighbor
Excavation Protection Act", that safeguards neighbors from
other people digging.

As a lifelong resident and family man, I have personally experienced
the home purchasing process. I am concious that the purchase of
property, especially if the home is the largest financial and life
altering decision most people will make. I am sympathetic to your
